Natural Texas Limestone
A.J. Brauer Stone produces high quality natural stone products. The company operates a limestone quarry northwest of Jarrell, Texas where it extracts high-quality limestone blocks from its open-pit quarries; then processes them for sale. Clients include building contractors, landscape contractors, stone masons, pool contractors, wholesalers, and retailers of building products. A.J. Brauer Stone also operates a stone fabrication facility where it manufactures specialty architectural products including mantles and hearths, fireplace surrounds, door and window surrounds, decorative caps, bull-nose pieces and other finely detailed elements.
About
The company was founded in 1976 by A. J. Brauer Jr. Mr. Brauer was professional stone mason. In order to obtain a reliable supply of stone for his masonry business, he began a quarry operation at the site of one of the company’s existing quarries. Eventually, Mr. Brauer ended his masonry business to focus on the limestone quarry operation. In 1986, A. J. Brauer, Jr. passed away, leaving the company to his wife and his son, 18 year old A. J. Brauer III. In 1988, A. J. Brauer III, and his wife Cindy purchased the company from Jay’s mother. The company was acquired by Materials Marketing Limited in 2012 and the tradition of high quality and fine service continues.
